Nigerian children at government schools suffer high burden of intestinal worms

PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseasesに1月30日発表された論文によれば、ナイジェリアの公立学校の生徒たちの腸内寄生虫は私立学校の生徒より高率である。
蠕虫感染率は、都市部の公立学校で54.9%、田舎の公立学校で63.5%、私立学校で28.4%だった。最も多い寄生虫は回虫(Ascaris lumbricoides)で、次いで鞭虫(Trichuris trichiura)、サナダムシ(Taenia species)、鉤虫である。
