自閉症患者に消化管疾患が伴う場合の対処法についての合意文書。
一般的には普通の消化管疾患のガイドラインがあてはめられる。ASD特有の困難さはある。
特に経験談をもとにいろいろな食事介入が薦められる場合があるがほとんど根拠はなく、薦められない。グルテンフリーカゼインフリーダイエットなども支持しない。食品による有害影響の評価には標準化された手法が使われるべき。 アレルギーがある場合など専門家の関与が必要。
