カナダ公衆衛生主任が2018年のカナダの公衆衛生報告書を発表
カナダでは若者のアルコール、大麻、オピオイドの問題のある使用が重大な問題である。2016年以降8000人以上がオピオイド中毒で死亡していて予防できたはずである。これ以上の死亡は総合対策で予防できる。ブリティッシュコロンビアの最新データによると、オピオイド危機のために国民平均寿命が短くなっている。カナダの若者は世界で一番多く大麻を使っていて、7年生から12年生の約半分が飲酒している。現在の、そして未来の世代に薬物が影響を与えることを予防するために今対応するのが重要である
