Mumomega はn-3多価不飽和脂肪酸であるエイコサペンタエン酸とドコサヘキサエン酸と、n-6多価不飽和脂肪酸であるガンマリノレン酸の混合物で、胎児や乳児の健康な中枢神経系発達を支持するとの健康強調表示申請があった。提出されたデータから因果関係は確立されていないと結論した。
