米国の改訂ガイドラインでは動物を飼育する費用が劇的に増加する可能性がある
昨年NASが発表したGuide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animalsでは初めてメスのラットやマウスとその子どもの最小ケージサイズを薦めた。マウスのメス1匹とその子に330平方センチ、25g以上のマウスは1匹あたり97平方センチとしている。

化粧品や食品や消臭剤などに含まれるパラベンが乳がんリスクの増加と関連するとメディアが報道している。乳がん団体がこれに根拠はないという。
Sunに今日もパラベンと乳がんが関連するという記事をみてがっかりした。先週専門家がこの研究についてコメントしている。
乳がん団体はSunの編集者に対して1月12日に記事に反対する手紙を書いている。
多くの食品や美容品に含まれるパラベンが乳がん組織に存在することはそれが乳がんの原因であることを意味しない。
