Castilla-La Mancha大学の研究チームが汚染のない地域の天然キノコ12種の重金属を分析したところ、種類によって大きな違いがあることがわかった。
Biometalsに発表された結果によれば、鉛とネオジムを最も多く含むのはアンズタケ(Cantharellus cibarius)であった。
トリウムとウランが多いのはニガクリタケ（Hypholoma fasciculare）であった。
